Smile Re: '71 Chevy got delivered yesterday

On your exhaust manifolds. If your have a local machine shop that has a head shop that has a plainer or a big belt sander if you take your heads there and he plains them you don't have to use exhaust gaskets Me if i just got the truck I would drain the pan and put a new filter and gasket in and Check U joints or change them and center Drive shaft carrier they seem to get old and its best to replace it and check all Ball joints and all brake rubber hoses. You might want to think about putting in the HEI it will make the truck run a little better and. Do a rod out on your radiator and if you can check all rubber vacuum hoses as well. And i'm one that likes old trucks Most people are into this New crap stuff me I like the olden times my self
