Question: Quad Kick-down install operation

It is my impression that on the 69 and 70 (BB) trucks there were two different ways the 400 Kick down switch worked. The kick-down switch mounts to the carb...one set up used a bracket that hit the plunger when the throttle linkage was pressed. Was there another set up used?

So those who are mechanical knowledgeable about these issues...what were the correct ways this switch operated? Were there two methods of hook up?

Anyone have any pictures on the set up? Thanks in advance.
