Unhappy pics and story of my long gone baby!!

Hi guys ,, i just got a scanner and my first priority was to get into my old picture album and get some pictures of orange,, if you have read my posts before you have probably heard me mention it,, it was a factory 4x4 67 shortbed chevy, 4 inch suspension lift, an absolute screamin 468 bbc, a th400 that would break youre neck when it hit second, and a 205, dana 44 front with a 14 bolt in the rear , 4:11's and a rear locker, 35" boggers, hurst qaurter stick, monster tach , cd ,, all the goodies,, i kinda got in a spot and sold the truck when my son was born ,, when he was a year old i had some extra cash and i was persausive enough to convince the fella i sold it to , to sell it back to me,, then about another year down the road another one of those spots hit and it had to go again,, this time it was going to sell loally so it would be easy to buy back,, had alot of kids come to look at it but i refused to sell it to them because i just knew they would hurt theyreselves in it,, then i had an older fella that SEEMED to have his head on straight and said he had owned many 4wd's in the past just none with this kind of power,, he was a couple towns away so i knew how to locate it when i got my money saved up again,, then i got the call,, a fellow board member that goes by hardrock2 called me ona saturday and said " Mac get up to my house NOW!!" now remember this is about 2 weeks after i sold my truck ,, as i started down his road i saw flashing lights, fire trucks and a set of boggers cocked up in the air in the middle of the road,, there was my truck on its lid in the middle of an 8 foot wide country road,, the state police told me they estimated his speed at between 90 and 100 mph ,, and this was on a crappy oil country road,, you know the kind im talking about,, the man had lost control of it and sent it through the air for about 50 feet, his wife was ejected and after the truck finally landed on its top it unfortunatley slid over the top of his wife,, he survived with minor injuries,, it took me a while to convince myself it wasnt my fault,, i realized that i had done evrything i could to find what i thought would be a responsible buyer,, apparently he wasnt responsible at all,, he called me a week later and told me he never wanted to see the truck again ,, so i payed his tow bill and took it home,, thats where it sat covered with a tarp for a while then i decided it was time to finish it,, the body got torched into 20 different pieces, the motor now resides between the fenders of my big green k20,, the frame and axles are in storage at hardrocks house ,, frame is junk its just keeping tha axles together, ,,tranny and transfer is under a tarp in my barn , and the boggers went on my green truck also,, all of the little knick knacks like lenses, shifter and the late 60's white grant steering wheel all are in my garage,,, one of these days years down the road i will put them all back and build another,, just not ready to see it again ,, with all my other vehicles i have ever owned i have always said " AHH ITS JUST IRON ,, THEY MADE MORE" but not this truck ,, this was MY truck!!! this truck was me,, i know there are people on this board that own nicer ones , but they aint this one,, some people on here willunderstand what i am talking about ,, they know how you can get attatched,, others will think im about half looney,, i just wanted you to know the story behind it,, i like to know the storys behind old trucks,, and this is mine
thanks for listening
