Starting Build

I need some opinions, I'm starting a build on a 72 C20 in the next few weeks, and and trying to figure out where to start.

I've found a 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton C10 kit from Early Classics, that will take the 8 lug discs and convert them to 5 lug, as well as drop it by 3.5 inches, but I'm stuck on the rear. What's the best option for the rear, just getting some 8 lug rims, or figuring out how to swap the rear to 5 lug? I don't terribly mind just putting on 8 lug rims, they just have to match the front 5 lugs.

Aside from that, both ECE and CCP told me that I would need to swap the rear end with a 5 lug 1/2 ton. I really don't want to do that, but if it's my only option, whats the best way to get one? I really don't want to go pull something out of a graveyard. I don't mind buying something new from somewhere, I just don't know what to look for, specs etc.
