Can I lower a 4WD K5 for drag racing?
I know it's stupid question, but I really am curious. My intentions are to build a 4WD drag truck. I want to know if I can flip the front axle like the rear(to the other side of the springs). What problems may come from that?
I tried converting this truck to 2wd, but the frame was bent where the 2wd crossmember mounts, so it couldn't be installed correctly. It drove fine as a 4WD Blazer though. Another thought was to just leave it in it's stock configuration and just throw slicks on all 4 wheels. But I want it to look normal and almost stock 2wd height so nobody will think anything of it. We usually race at legal events on closed roads or an airstrip, so he who has traction wins the race. The AWD cars and trucks usually come out on top. I'm open to any ideas or advice.
