67 truck... what sparkplugs you guys running?

Okay well I am finally getting my 67 truck road worthy.. My issue is that its been sitting for years..it actually drive decent but I was planning on replacing some of the stuff I dont know the history of. right now I hit the gas and there is a lag before i actually go anywhere. Not bad but a little.. I assume i need the carb adjusted some but my thought is that I would replace the plugs and wires.

Truck is as follows.
1967 chevy c10 shortbed.
350 engine HEI with TH-350 trans. 600 Edlebrock carb No cam that I know of. I will be adding Headman headers and Edelbrock intake. Nothing crazy just a cruiser.

Also what engine oil do you guys run? Synthetic or what? I am the do it right type person so I just want to make sure to get this thing mechanically sound so I can engine it.

any help for a rookie would be appreciated.
