Junkyard score
Went to a backwoods junkyard here in MO today because the guy had a great orange 72 sitting in the front of the lot I spotted from the road. Unfortunately he said the orange truck wasn't for sale as it was a friend of his whos son died and it was the sons truck. I asked if the friend would sell it as it was sitting in the lot rusting away. He said no too many memories but he had some old chevy parts I could look through in his shed. After diggin through junk I scored this (what appears to be original) Super glove box door. There are a few small pin holes in the woodgrain (not the steel) that are almost not noticeable and the rest is in great condition. I bought the door for $25 bucks so I think I got a pretty good deal. The decal is still in perfect condition so here is a pic after cleaning it with some wipes.
Any suggestions on filling the pin holes? Also can you shoot these with clear or will it ruin them? |
