has anyone used Jegs headers?
I have preached for over a decade on here how the Hooker headers kick ass... and they do.
However, they aren't cheap. I'm looking in my Jegs catalog, and the plain black low end hookers are $195. http://www.jegs.com/i/Hooker+Headers/520/2452/10002/-1 Looking on another page, I see a possible option, Jegs brand headers. For the no frills plack painted ones I'm only looking at $120 http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performan...30055/10002/-1 They are both made from 16 guage steel, and have 5/16ths flanges... that's a plus. The Jegs ones are made in the US, hooker doesn't say where they are made. I KNOW how the hookers fit, they tuck up pretty good, and the primary tubes clear all but one spark plug. I now on some cheap headers you have to use a wrench to get to the plugs, and the boots on the wires fry on a regular basis. I just wonder if anyone knows anything about these lower cost headers. Are they worth anything? 75 bones isn't much to some people, but it's a crap load of cash to me. |
