V8 Swap Throttle Issue

I'm sure you guys have run into this and there's an easy fix...

Pulled the 230 6cyl and added a mild 355, alum intake and Edlebrock carb. I extended the stock linkage rod from the carb to the firewall arm and I cant get full throttle and it sticks open about 3/4 throttle. I used the "large" hole on the carb arm and fabricated a plastic bushing to take up the space as the hole is quite a bit larger than the stock arm.

Any ideas?
