Where to mount the battery, 1952 GMC?

I have a 1952 GMC on an S10 frame with a sbc. I'm trying to decide where to mount the battery since the under floor spot has frame in the way. I could mount it on the firewall except the air and heat lines are there. It could be mounted in the inner fender but that area is not made for the extra wieght. Back in the truck bed would work but it just kind of setts there in the open. I have no experience with the dry cell type battery that could mount under the front seat. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks.
