truckster Registered User Join Date: Jan 2001 Location: Orem, Utah Posts: 8,021	Check Engine Light I took the Blazer to have the emissions test done. The mechanic told me the check engine light was on. HUH??? I gently explained to him that the check engine light not only wasn't on, but it didn't exist in 1972.
