Talking Finally did it!

Well, I finally found a truck to fit my needs. Always wanted a hot rod, and want an 8' bed for wood shop/home projects. I found a small window '67 about two hours away from me that was rebuilt. The builder has lots of experience and made an LT1 "clone" out of the 350. 4:11 rear. VERY quick!

Saginaw three speed, floor shifter (antique Fenton shifter with a '70's Hurst 'wedge' knob). Just been repainted white cab roof over a turquoise body. Body still has minor dents etc (esp in the bed) but looks clean, shiny & nice. Its the right combination. Looks good, but not so good that you don't want to use it as a truck.

Exhaust is two cherry bombs per side to 2 1/2 inch pipes. Just drove it the two hours home and it may be a bit too loud. The stock cab with no insullation doesn't help in the noise department.

Its late, but just wanted to log on with the new thruck. Will post pictures later. What a week. Got my first grandchild (a boy) and bought the truck in the same 24 hour period. Doesn't get much better than that.
