Installing A/C

I have not seen many links to folks installing A/C systems on their trucks. I have a 66 gmc and the dash is different than the Chevrolet.

Here is a list of what I would like to accomplish:

1. Can I save my glove box. (no storage as it is)

2. Has anyone used a slimline A/C heater combo (most are 14" deep and makes it impossible to use the space around the tunnel, I measure 12" available)

3. Knee Knockers have the same problem 14.5" deep

4. The custom A/C units really hang down low on the passenger side and you lose the glove box from what I can tell.

Anybody out there have any suggestions, pictures, etc of specific systems and how they came out looking, and working.

Any help would be apprecitated Kieth
