Thanks everyone.
I'm driving on the street as much as so I can get a good wear pattern established on the gears. Before I drop a big trans brake launch. I have a few parts I'm waiting for: HVH 1" carb spacers and quick fuels metering blocks. Once these hit the door steps I'm off to the track.

I'm just running a couple of 7" K&N's I put on last night.
I do want to build a box like you have out of sheet aluminum so the cowl can also be functional.
