Re: Component Speaker Selection

Well, a little over 2 months later and I finally should be getting something in return for the broken JBL's. Instead of them sending me a new set (they didn't have any in stock), I got store credit.

With the credit I bought these:

They are Polk Audio MM6501's. The sales rep I spoke with asked me what I was putting the speakers in and recommened these since they can handle fresh water boats even though they aren't marine grade (the marine grade versions are able to handle salt water he said). I read some reviews on them and figured I'd give 'em a shot. I had a set of Polk Audio 6x9's back in 2000 in my camaro, and remember them being very loud hooked up to a 50 watt amp.

The reviews on the MM6501's all seem to be good, so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope for the best! UPS says they should be on my doorstep tomorrow...wish me luck.
