Bed removal?

After a search looks as though bed removal is simple with enough manpower. My plan is to be able to access underside of bed and frame to treat and paint.
1 Is the front of the bed strong enough to tip it on end?
2 For the wheelwells and underside of bed is Rhinolining a good option?
3 If budget allows I will replace tank with a underbed style,is there anything that should be looked at or maintained with bed off other than the obvious? Thanks.
