Good day at the yard

My dad and I went out the local 'you do all the work' yard and wandered around. He wanted GM sheet metal to repair a rust spot that has appeared on his '78 and I needed vent windows & a/c parts for my '86.

We found an '86 3/4 ton that the passenger side bed was destroyed and it looked like the motor had seen better days.

Off of it, he found his.

While he was doing that, I was looking at the a/c lines and anything else I might use, when I found this.

I had read about some you guys finding one in the yard, but I had not been so fortunate until today. Hopefully it works. I was able to grab the entire harness and ended up taking all the wiring on the truck. The interior of the truck had not been touched until it got to the yard. It had the original radio and no aftermarket accessories in it. Mine is so messed up I figured it wouldn't hurt, and my total bill was $82.16. Not a bad day, I think.

Well except I still need a vent window assembly, the one with 3 mounting spots, on the driver's side. Oh, and a/c parts.
