Question Brake conversion for 65 C10

I need assistance in my attempt to convert my 1965-C10 Ch Panel front brakes system from the 6 lug drum brakes to a 6 lug dics only using the spindle where it attaches to the upper and lower ball joints. I now have the lower "A" arm disconnected (at the "U" bolts) from cross member.
I would like to use any 73-87 setup to attach to the "A" arm, (using existing "A" arm, if possible)
I called a couple of suppliers and they want around $1,000 to $1,500 for conversion of my spindles to disc spindle or cross member change over.
Also, I beat the crap our of my lower ball joint and it will not come out of the spindle housing, maybe I'll not have to reuse these spindle housings???
All true knowledge is appreciated but if you don't know what I should do here then don't say, I FRUSTRATED ENOUGH AS IS WITHOUT ANY MORE HELP? Thanks for listening to and old dog howl....
