Manual Throttle
The dash in the truck that's donating its cab to mine has a manual throttle cable. When I disassembled it, I found that the plastic behind the metal bezel was a small piece about an inch square laid over the sirface of the dash panel itself. The little piece, which included the raised area with the raised letters on it, was not glued to the dash: it was simply held in place by the bezel.
Was this method of labelling the maqnual throttle SOP or did somebody hack up an original dash panel in order to put it through this one. I should note that the option sheet lists the manual throttle as originally installed on the donor truck. What I plan to do is drill a hole in my own dash panel (below the choke) and retain the throttle cable. One more minor question: there was no provision for mounting the rearview mirror above the windshield (that is, no holes in the "headliner"), but the cab is a '70. There is no hint of anything having been attached to the windshield, either. Was it possible to NOT have an in-cab mirror?
