Wiring dilemma - '66 C10 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Doing some repair work left by the previous owner. Need to run a new wire from the battery post to the Horn Relay (junction block). However, there are a couple extra wires there that I am not sure about. The one I AM sure about is the 12 gauge red wire that was cut from the battery (It looks orange in the photo becuase it is faded).

The extra red wire does not look factory so I think he added it for some reason. The extra green wire - probably 16 gauge - I am not sure about. The connection looks factory.

I also attached a wiring diagram that is the only thing I have to go on right now.
