Question Turbo 292 or Rat?

I just inherited a 78 SWB C-10 with an inline 250 with 3 on the column. It needs some major bodywork, but I was more interested in the power plant first.

There is a guy locally that can help me setup a single or twin turbos on a 292. Has ANYONE done this? I can't seem to find strong parts for a 292 anywhere. Like steel crank/rods and such... Will I be wasting time/money on this dream of having a FAST L6 or should I build a rat and be done?

BTW, what is an approx. weight on a C-10 with no power?

Thanks.
