Wiring for 86 diesel in 85 gas truck?

My 85 truck has an 86 6.2 diesel in it. Wiring is a mess. Some doesn't follow the 85 shop manual I have. Some wires are cut and hang in the air.

The 85 shop manual was in two large books plus 19 larger pages regarding wiring.

1. Anyone know whether there were relevant changes between the 85 6.2 and the 86 6.2? I have the 85 shop manual.

2. The page showing an Electronic Control Module is labelled "1985 C LD CALIF - 3 C SYSTEM - V8 AUTO - CC-TC 1-2-300" Is it relevant to my vehicle? Another covers similar ground except, I think, for a K truck, which I think means 4 wheel drive and mine is a 2 wheel drive.

3. I have two pages labelled, "FEDERAL DIESEL ENGINE RPO LH6 & LL4 & NA5/NA6" and "CALIFORNIA DIESEL ENGINE RPO LH6 & NB2". The former doesn't show an ECM. The latter does. I'm in Canada. Would I use the former?

4. Would I be correct in thinking I don't need the diagrams titled, "Electronic Spark Control' because the diesel doesn't use spark plugs?
