Which ATF type to choose??
...need some insights. Is DexMerc ATF any good?? I bought a 'Coastal' brand ATF DexMerc from Autozone for $14.99 (1 GAL). Guy said DexMerc is what old GM/FORD use. Or shoud I get a high mileage ATF? Also, what type is best (Dextron, F, etc)? How many quarts will I need? I am going to drop the trans. pan tomorrow and fix the RTV leak w/ a rubber gasket. FYI: It's a 67 C10 with a TH350 transmission. Mileage is unknown, but I'm assuming it's high.
