5.3 or 6.0 LSx swap in 72 K10?

I am doing some research on this. I was thinking this would be a relatively easy swap, IF you want to keep the th350 trans. Ideally I'd like a 4L60e, or a 4L80e. The trouble is the t case output on all the newer stuff is on the drivers side, and the original 205 is on the passenger side. So that means swapping a Ford or some other diff that has the driver side pinion, correct?

It would need to stay solid axle, a IFS is not something I want to do on this truck.

I'm sure someone has already done this swap?
