Problem...rear gas tank

Anyone had any problems with the blazer style tanks on pickups in the rear? Mine seems to have started a pretty damn good leak at the front pass corner when filled beyond where the two halves meet. It maybe dumped a cup or so of gas. After that no smell or leak even after hot laps around the block. I know I need a new tank. Problem is that I didn't install this tank and I don't know what brand the one I have is or what po did or didn't do. I've seen previous threads about tanks but never a leak at the split like I have. I was looking at LMC and the Brother tanks because they are exactly what I have now. Any thoughts???
