Im using the front cab mounts from the 69 frame on the newer chassis(12 rivets )i bolted them on with 1/2" grade 8 bolts,so i dont think theyll be an issue anyway.
The biggest issue so far is the hump in the frame,ive been under there scratching my head thinking of best way to remove it so i dont have 12" of clearance between my front fenders and tires!
The weird part is theres only about 2 1/2" of clearance between the front wheel wells and top of frame rail.
Any way Ill either take a section of the 69 frame to put in place of hump in newer frame or ill have a section of frame rail custom made to weld in there and "double frame " the outside of that section like a dump truck frame.
Good thing i used to work at a steel foundry about a mile from here,ive still got access to lots of things the average person would kill for
