Need help with Z'ing frame
When people Z the frame it is usually behind the front crossmember correct? I lowered the big block one inch and moved it back two inches plus put a deep oil pan on and now am very close to the steering linkage. since the front appears to be sitting a little high for my preference anyways I was wondering if I could Z it in FRONT of the front crossmember. I would obviously have to move cab mounts down a bit but it would fix my clearance issues with the steering plus look lower. Would the moving of the steering linkage down give me bumpsteer issues? Are there things that I am not thinking about that I should be? Also how big of Z do people go? Is an inch viable? Thanks!
