Spindle/brake ?

Ok i'm working on my wife's 67 that has been converted to five lug. I'm pretty sure it's the 73 later parts. I noticed this morning as i'm tearing the passenger side down for new ball joints that the caliper has a bolt with a nut on it not the usual caliper bolt. The driver side was correct but the passenger side doesn't have the threads in the spindle for the bolt. So my ? is did they drill the threads out of the spindle or was some like this? I'm starting to get mad at this truck but it's the people that did the sorry work on it fault. (this isn't the first thing) Thanks
