Dome light staying on - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

This afternoon, I pulled my gauge cluster to clean up and install a new bezel. Didn't run into any problems at all. In fact, I was surprised how easy it was to take out, take apart, put back together and put back in.

This evening the Mrs. and I went out for a bite to eat and when I got home I noticed the dome light was on. I figured I just needed to turn the knob, but that didn't help. The dome light stayed on no matter what. I pulled the bulb -- burned my finger in the process

-- for the night, but not sure what happened.

Any ideas?
