no more evac kit!!!
Recovery from this stupid back surgery has put things on the slow burn, but making progress again. Can't believe I haven't touched the truck in 5 months,, but..... a short drive around town and one of the damn header evac hoses fell against the headers. Stupid junk didn't work well anyways so,,,,,,
Run the same pump on my Nova and it's been rock solid reliable. Oh,, and just a another pic while I was in there. This is a set of AFR 220's next time someone says stock rockers and valve train will work on the 220's,, take note of what it takes to correct the geometry. These are 0.1 / 0.45 offset Crower shaft rockers. A stud rocker walks sideways over the valve tip trying to get to this point with the AFR guide plates. The only complaint I'll ever say about AFR is not calling it straight that the statement that 'ACCEPTS' standard valve train components and 'CORRECT' is two very different things. Now if I can just find enough 1.75" stainless tubing to build up enough sweeps to get the lower radiator hose clear of everything!!!! What a PAIN (and I do mean that physically too) Bending over a fender isn't as 'fun' as it used to be!

I just did my taxes and reviewed my SS statement. Thanks to the current administration it looks like I will only have to work till noon on the day of my funeral. |
