fuel tank questions

good morning all

i know there are threads already on the fuel tank relocation topic however i had a few specific questions.....

my truck: 1964 short fleet 2wd

ive seen the 73-87 blazer tank used on the 4wd trucks however upon measuring i find the dimensions of the tank are as follows 28 3/4x 28 1/8x 10 3/4. after removing the rear frame brace and the little skinny brace in front of the rear i am going to have to cut into the 3rd brace from the rear. even with this done the tank will stick out past the rear of the frame an inch or two. is this ok??? will it be an issue with a roll pan? i dont believe it will however id like some other opinions.

would i be able to use a 60-66 sending unit with the one outlet( not three or four like the newer tanks) on the newer tank? are the lock rings the same size? could i simply plug up the rest of the outlets on a new sending unit.

also does any one have the dimensions of the tank which comes with the 63-66 tank relocation kit available from classic industries it is not listen on thier site and cant seem to find it anywhere.

thanks again for all your guys advice and help!!!!
