67 chevy half ton, making into 3/4 ton 4x4

I have a 67 chevy I bought a year ago and hsve decidded to put on a later model frame so I can have a 6/4 ton 4x4. I am new to this site and am just trying to find some others who have done this. Im looking to find out which year works best and what kind of problems will I run into. I know my wheelbase is 127 and the 73-83 is 131 so I have 4 inches to add or to take off the frame. Any advice to this project would be great because I have not yet boughten the truck to house my body yet but am getting close and really want to find whats goimg to be the easiest here. All input is welcomed thank you!
