Newbie from Germany. Power steering problem.

Hello all.
First of all I want to introduce myself. I'm Martin, 45 years old and come from Germany. Since a few days I'm owner of a 1965 Chevy C10 SWB Stepside. I bought it "unseen" in LA. The condition is better than expected. But, for an allowance to drive it on the German roads there are many things to do…

Now my first question to the professionals: The power steering pump is noisy, and the steering gearbox is very leaky. Is it possible to repair it (seal kit etc.), or better to replace the complete unit? Could someone help me to identify the components (make, from which car, build year)?

Thanks in advance, Best regards. Martin
