66 front chassis same as 68 chassis

Is the front of the 66 chevy truck chassis the same as the 68 chevy truck/suburban, just the fron 12" of the frame, where the bumper bolts. The 66 I bought the PO weld a 4" diameter pipe as a bumper and he made a cut in the frame to seat the pipe and weld it, so I need to find the tip of the frame to replace it and have the holes for the bumper.
