62' driveline help

Im working on setting up my suspension on my 62 longbed and have a few questions. I have a porterbuilt front crossmember and mounted the motor to get the transmount made up. How high up can i set the transmission crossmember on the frame before the transmission interferes with the floor.
Also is it necessary to run a 2 piece driveshaft to clear the back of the cab.
