LockDoc The Older Generation Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Montezuma, Iowa Posts: 25,420	This Is Why You Check The Tank Out - I decided to remove the tank from the '68 I just bought and flush it out before putting fresh gas in it. Glad I did.... If you buy a truck that has been sitting for quite a while you really need to check the inside of the fuel tank before trying to start it. The tank I took out has about 10 pounds of junk in it. When you tip the tank from end to end all of the stuff inside goes "Thud" to the other end.... This is the worst I have ever seen. Luckily, I had a good tank to put in it.
