why am I surprised?
Been working like crazy trying to get the crewcab ready to pull my big camper up north this weekend. Never towed anything with it before, it didn't even have a decent hitch until last week. Got the trailer wiring all done tonight and took it for it's maiden voyage around town. Wanted to see how it would go without a WD hitch. I measured the rear fenderwells before and after hooking up the trailer, it dropped 1 1/4 inch. Tows beautiful, and like I said, why am I surprised? It's an 11,000 gvwr cab & chassis drw with a big block. Darn well better tow good!
Just towed the same camper with my diesel 2500 Suburban, with a WD hitch. Power-wise it was fine, but the camper pushed me around like a bully on the playground. The crew goes down the road smooth as silk. Almost like it was made to tow;> And while I'm a little leery about backing it into a campsite considering that the truck is a mile long and doesn't turn, I was pretty happy when I got home and backed it 90 degrees into my driveway in one shot. Just wanted to share that, my big tow rig actually can tow. Now just have to see how it does on the big climbs on Saturday.
