oi pressure reading

today I checked my oil pressure, because the gauge shows 15 all the time.

when I start the engine it goes up to 15 and then stays there, cold or warm, 1200 or 3000 rpm...always 15....wich isnt right? isnt it?

to I took the wire of the sender today and grounded it. turned the ignition on and the gauge showed 60 (max). So the gauge is working.

the sender is in a super bad location for me to get my big hands in. I noticed that the sender is screwed into a splitter, that is screwed into the top of the engine.

could my sender just be dirty? so can I unscrew it, clean it with brake cleaner and then check again? or cant these things get dirty?

and what is that other thing that is screwed into the splitter?

its impossible to make a photo f it, because it is so dark in there and all the way at the back of the engine.

hope you guys can help.
