Red face Digger's 84 C10 Build (and a lil history)

Hey guys I been around the forum and its defiantely overdue for me to kick back. You guys are wild and shared a wealth of info which I constantly snoop amongst! Im Mike , living in Grande Prairie Alberta and this is my history / build thread! Hope you enjoy something outta this.

This is my 84 C10 when I was 16 i built it from stock to this.
10.5:1 355 4 Bolt Main
Forged Crank
Pink rods
Forged Pistons
Port matched Heads & Intanke
Crane Compucam 2050 (i think it was)
Performer Intake and 1406 Carb
NOS Powershot system
Dropped 5/7
275/60/15 and 235/50/15 Firehawks on 15x10 us wheels
Bed mounted battery

Not bad for 15 , I spent lots of time in the garge when I was supposed to be sleeping for school and my 2 jobs.

Then a month later hit a patch of gravel while hard on the throttle and ended up on the side of the road racked up into a lightpost , parking meter and a tree. BIG setback...

5 minutes before the accident

and the bad stuff...
It was early sunday morning , no one was hurt. Just the truck. Lesson learned... Very hard to correct a 90 degree sideways long box with close to 400 horses. So I took it easy from there on in.

I got it to this state in a week:

easy ignition timing tweaks... haha

So this brings me to after I graduated my parents helped pay for the ultimate transformation. I put the girl on a 79 c10 frame I was actually goin to throw out due to its condition. But it was all I had for the time being. My dad highschool buddy did all the paint and bodywork and lemme tell u the guy has a god given talent for layin some paint.

Roof and doors are now chopped 2 1/4 inches with the stock windshield leaned back. The color is Dark Charcoal Mettalic Grey which was used on some anniversay edition dodge vehicles. We went with the yenko closed in stripes on the hood and roof but not down the ass of her. Really explosive in the sun.
under the knife...

finished!

Now I live in alberta and moved it 3150 km from ontario to complete it. I can finally afford to finish the build ( 6 years later) and here is where i am at (which is not far).

I have a new mint frame for it thanks to the lack of road salt used in the western provinces.

I just moved so I am in the midst of getting my new garage setup. I will be posting updates as I go. I ll be boxing the frame. Building Crossmembers installing a front dropmember , building a four link and getting my engine and tranny all swapped in . All in good time during the winter months. These are the main parts I have collected so far...

2001 LQ4 6.0l Vortec
2002 T56 for wrecked 02 camaro SS
1978 12 Bolt 3.40 Gear Ratio

Next on deck is porterbuilt front dropmember, tubular control arms, rack and pinion, big front brake kit, rear discs. Eventually i will be going single turbo but to get it to gether NA for now will be a thousand steps in the right direction for where I m stitting now. Thanks for checkin er out I ll post updates as I go!
