Any pictures of Stepsides with Coys C5?
I love the look of Keith's truck but I'm thinking 20's all the way around for mine. Does anyone have any pics of a stepper with Coys? I see a lot of fleetsides but I'm curious about tire sizes and backspacing on a stepper.
Keith's (Stella Mae truck) has a 22x9 on the rear with 5" BS. 265/40/22 with an early rear end. He said he had to trim a little off the outer edge of the rear fenders to make it work. That tire is 30.39in dia and 10.7" section width. So he is 4+ and 5- .. I am looking at a 20x8.5 with 5.25" BS for the rear. 255/50/20. I like a little more tire. It will be 30.1in dia and 10.5 or so section width. that puts me at 3.25+ and 5.25- Worst case I can slip one of those disc type spacers behind it to make it perfect. Ideally I think 3.5+ and 5- would be right on it. 20x7 on the front. 245/45/20. My truck is going to be pretty low. That tire is 28.7in dia and 9.4" section width. I have dropped spindles and the 73+ swap. I think my track width might be a little wider but I'm not sure how much. Running a 7 on the front I'll have .5 difference in the positive offset, so I think it will still have the 'big' look and I can run plenty of tire. 255/50 and 245/45 on this setup would make the sidewalls roll out almost exactly the same. Within .1". No chance of rubbing from lock to lock (?) Your thoughts? Do you think it would work? I think I'm going to order them tomorrow.
