Bed jacks into cab while off-roading

I gota think this must happen to most trucks of this type (72 short step-side bed 4x4). Since brand new, my truck bed bolts have mashed into the cab every time the frame torques while off-road. I'm ready to do some serious body & paint work now and wouldn't like to start the mashing all over again with new paint. Anybody found a good work-around for this problem?
