I have been thinking about modifying mine to run without batteries. I know a little something about electronics, so it doesn't seem to be too difficult, but I would also like you to share what you did.
Another thing. I am pretty old school on modern setups so I would like to know what the difference is on what signal is sent from an HEI ignition as compared to standard points ignition. I was planning on studying up on this with the possibility of also converting this tach to work with HEI.
