Went scrapyarding today NOS parts and hubcaps.
Went scrap yarding today, haven't been in years. Found some NOS parts and some used but clean hubcaps. 61-63 Chev & GMC as well as some 64-66 ( hubcaps for sale in the parts section ). They were in his parts buses where he stores some of his parts. He's got garages and barns full of mechanical parts. Some NOS GM, Chrysler and Ford as well as the aftermarket suppliers. You should see how much engine and transmission stuff he's got in inventory. Really comes down to you seeing what you want. He let's you walk through wherever you want to go and appreciates when you can identify parts strung up from the ceilings his grandfather and father hung up since 1926. Great morning! Pulled some aluminum GMC Suburban tail light bezels off an old school bus ( U-pull if you want) (( Lent me his tools )). It had a rear bumper on it that curved around the sides like the front bumper. I couldn't see the blank punchmarks where the holes were not punched out on the Suburban/ Panel trucks rear bumper. The rear bumper had a heavy plate- step covering most of it, but not attach to it. A schlong body one ton. He had it filled with NOS exhaust systems. Hard to describe how much old stuff this place has. They must have bought out dealerships and autoparts suppliers to get all the stuff that's still in boxes.
