Question How hard is it

I deleted my first thread on this subject. I'll try to restate my question.

How tough is it to remove and replace the bedsides on a SWB? I was looking at a truck that apparently had patch panels installed in all four corners of the floor. It may had bedsides installed also.

The bedsides seem to be attached correctly to the front of the bed but there is a gap of about 1/4" between the inside of the bedsides and the floor from behind the wheel tub to the tailgate on both sides. The result is that the tailgate opening is too wide.

The bedsides are clean and rust free as is the front panel. They don't look damaged, it looks like they were just not installed correctly. Would it be worth the effort to find a good bed floor and rebuild the bed? I would welcome any opinions.
