Sway bar and bags

I have read about needing to cut the front sway bar on bagged trucks. My question is, if I cut it flush with the LCA mount, will that effect how the sway bar works? I am no engineer, but it seems that the sway bar has to move in and out of the bushing. Is there a chance that the sway bar will dig into the bushing and cause some problems?
