I suggest riding around in a vehicle which already has a gear drive for a few hours, the whine may drive you crazy (like me )....or you may love it. Just easier and cheaper than having to yank that thing back out.

If you want gear drive reliability without the noise , just drop in a Cloyes true roller or Cloyes billet true roller.
