I think I'm going to go Delco, I've kept under the hood extremly factory. I like the power of the optima, but I need form over function.
I'll power the air-pod with it's own batt hidden in the back. That's what started all this, the air-pod drained my batt, although the batt I knew was old and not holding a charge.

I've never really found the need for big expensive batteries for a few extra power accessories.
I find the alternator amperage makes the biggest difference for something like that.

I've had 3 of my ACdelco 7 year batteries last for 11 years. Back when they were made with "green eyes",,,,remember those?
The green eye would dissappear after about 4 years, and the battery would keep on going for another 7 years without issues.
They were actually still working fine as long as I drove the cars regularly, but if they sat for 5-6 days they would drain, so I finally changed them for the simple reason I didn't trust it at that point. But they never left me stranded though.

The current ACdelco's in the cars now, one is 7 years old and still going strong, the other is 6 years old and still going strong. The other 4 are still fairly new.

I never use trickle chargers on any of them, and they do tend to sit for short periods of time as well.

I don't think you'll go wrong with the ACdelco batteries. And the most amazing part,,,,they actually fit like they are supposed to,,,ha.
