very very cool idea!!! i am glad that it all worked out good  . i am in the process of finishing the paint & body work (this weekend) on mine & then i begin the looong road of re-assymbly. so i know exactly where you are at !!! i am glad to help a fellow enthusiast & hope it gets paid foward from you tooo....take care!
