56 GMC Tow Truck - FS Not Mine

Maybe somone here would be interested in saving this from destruction. I saw it from the back and was hoping it was an early 60's as I am looking for a tow truck from that era. The guy said the motor that is in it is froze up but there is another motor on the back that is supposedly free. Cab looks decently solid at first glance but did notice the step in the drivers side was starting to go. He is going to eventually scrap it and said I could have it for what he thinks he could get for it at scrap price. He estimated that to be around $800.

PM me for details and I can tell you where its at if your local, if you are not local I dont mind storing it for a while til you can come get it as id hate to see it scrapped. It is close to Macon Ga. It is not listed anywhere, I just saw it in a back yard.
