Question What can swap into a 68 c10

Hello all, I am very new to these older c10's, and have some questions. I currently have access to a 68 c10 fleetside long box. It has a seized I6, and 3speed tranny with a floor shifter. My questions are, if I can find a 73-87 longbox, with a 350 and auto, what can I swap across in regards to drivetrain?

I would do the front disk brake conversion, but my concerns are, the auto tranny, (how hard to take the column shift and retro fit it), the drive shaft, (any difference in lengths?) and rear end, (I read somewhere that 68's had a 56" and mid 70's and up had a 56 3/4". If both trucks had the same rear suspension, (ie, both leaf, or spring) would the whole assembly be swappable?.

Sorry for the many questions, but the search function seems to be disabled, so I can't look for this info on this msg board without going through every post.

Also, is there a site that lists any of this information?

All I want is a 350 AT, disk brakes in the front, and 5 lug all around.

I also have access to a 77 - 78 impala, 305 AT. Will anything off that be usefull?

(sorry for all the questions)

Thanks
